Course Purpose

This course provides an introduction to modern project management as practiced by industry leaders and as organized by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge PMBOK® Guide. This course also focuses on how to plan and manage the scope and technical element of the project baseline, and how to plan for and control project quality. For both scope and quality management, the central importance of project stakeholders and customers is emphasized. Exercises, activities and a case study are used throughout the course to illustrate and reinforce the concepts.

Background

This is a DAU mandatory course and must be sucessfully completed prior to enrolling in any additional DAU contracting certification courses. The focus is not limited to DoD or the federal government.
